National Assembly Evaluates the 43rd ASEAN Inter-Parliamentary Assembly as a Success

PHNOM PENH: National Assembly President, Heng Samrin, held a Standing Committee of the National Assembly meeting to evaluate the 43rd ASEAN Inter-Parliamentary Assembly (AIPA43). The committee jointly evaluated the inter-parliamentary assembly as a success.

According to a press release issued on Tuesday, 20 December 2022, the 43rd ASEAN Inter-Parliamentary Assembly (AIPA43) was evaluated at the meeting of the Standing Committee of the National Assembly. The General Secretariat of the National Assembly stated, "We have achieved significant success, enhancing the country's prestige on the international stage, especially strengthening Cambodian parliamentary diplomacy at the global level and increasing collaboration with other countries' parliaments on both bilateral and multilateral levels."

It should be noted that the 43rd ASEAN Inter-Parliamentary Assembly, hosted by the National Assembly of the Kingdom of Cambodia, was held from 20-25 November 2022, under the theme "Advancing Together for Sustainable, Inclusive, and Resilient ASEAN" in response to the current situation in the region and the world following the Covid-19 pandemic.
